DEDICATION AND ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

This project is dedicated to the people of Japan, especially those whose lives were so severely impacted by the devastating earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011. This calendar celebrates the many enduring splendors of Japan and provides a way for me to say, “Thank you”, for your generous and gracious hospitality and for creating so many enriching experiences while I was visiting your enchanting country.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank several people for helping make both my travels in Japan and the creation of this artwork possible: Clee and Suzanne Edgar, Emmy Krick, Addison Burkey, Etsuko Penner, Kumiko Ishibashi, Ken Tokunaga, Jim Mairs, Jim McDonald, and last but not least, my wife, Gail, for her support, patience and invaluable technical expertise.
